Follow the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway who was one of the best American writers of the 20th century, and who decided to live part of his life in Cuba in the village of Cojimar where he wrote one of his masterpieces: The Old Man and the Sea.

Meeting point: Meet at Parque Central close to Jose Marti Statue.The tour guide will be holding a sign with your name.


09:00 AM – Meet your local guide and driver and depart to Finca Vigia - Ernest Hemingway’s home & museum. (Closed on Sundays)

10:00 AM – Arrive at Finca Vigia. Here, Hemingway wrote his Pulitzer Prize winning novel, “The Old Man and the Sea”, and where his famous fishing boat, El Pilar, is also on display. 

11:00 AM – Walking tour in the small fishing village of Cojimar, where Hemingway docked his boat, El Pilar, and where some old timers might still remember Hemingway and his guide, Gregorio, whom the “old man” from the novel was based on.

12:00 M – Lunch at Ajiaco Cafe Paladar (Not included).

02:00 PM- Stop over at La Bodeguita del Medio where he had his Mojito.

03:00 PM- Ernest Hemingway Room at Ambos Mundos Hotel.

04:00 PM- Walk by Obispo street and end the tour at El Floridita, the world famous bar and one of Papa’s favorites where it is rumored he invented the “daiquiri”.

05:00 PM- The guide and driver will drop you off at Parque Central. End of the activities.
