Day 3

Cooking Class at Ajiaco Café Ajiaco Cafe offers one of the best cooking classes in Havana. The morning begins by visiting the organic garden, where you learn about the fresh ingredients that go into Cuban cooking. Then you will go into the kitchen and learn the preparation of Cuban cuisine and learn how to prepare a couple of dishes. you will also learn how to make the perfect mojito. Finally, you will enjoy a feast consisting of the food you helped prepare. Walking tour of Cojimar Walking tour in the small fishing village of Cojimar, where Hemingway docked his boat, El Pilar, and where some old timers might still remember Hemingway and his guide, Gregorio, whom the “old man” from the novel was based on. Drive by El Morro for a photo opportunity Built on the high rock entrance to the Bay and completed in the early 1600s, El Morro Castle guards the Port of Havana, complete with dungeons, cannons and the iconic lighthouse. Known as “El Morro”, the castle is actually The Castle of the Three Kings, named for the biblical Magi. The lighthouse stands on the end of a promontory strongly fortified with huge walls and battlements built by the Spanish Conquistadors to defend the city against pirates and bounty seekers. Day 4

Vedado and Havana Moderna visits Visit the Vedado district which highlights the architecture of the area, drive by the Mane monument, and the Malecon, Coppelia park the Havana Libre hotel, and the Rampa district. The group will visit the farmers market and other places of interest in Havana where they will have the opportunity to interact with the Cuban people. It is a fusion of Indoamerican, Hispanic and African cultures, that led to the Cuban culture. Every day from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. the show starts at 10:00 p.m. and afterwards from 12:00 a.m. you can learn how to dance.
